Nurture

About

The first Nurture centre was opened in 2006 by a group of Central Singapore CDC volunteers who saw the importance of equipping underprivileged children with fundamental reading skills which families might not have the means to provide.

These initial ideals have continued till today. The weekly Nurture programme continues to be run by volunteers. The Nurture curriculum aims to enhance the quality of life of children and their families by creating opportunities for creative learning of English literacy, and social skills, with the belief that education will help the next generation to break out of the poverty cycle.
