Performers took their places for rehearsals. “Mic check. Time check” was a common verse till it was starting time for the Street Clap! which celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities on that day.

Performers from Pathlight School, Grace Orchard School, Mind Towner Garden School, just to name a few, stood in anticipation for their events to commence. But all that anticipation came to rest when they gave a blast of performance that delighted audience.

Slick dance steps were displayed and wowed audience. That was the pay off for the hours spent on perfecting those moves. A magic performance left audience scrambling for answers. A mini circus ensued with dramatic acrobatic agility put on display. A pantomime act silenced many to find out the right answer but in the end, everyone was tapping their feet to the beat.

The adrenaline filled evening got audience to get off their seats and joined in the cheer. They even got a free lesson on sign language as they swayed their hips to the blasting dance hits. Alas time was up and the night has to come to an end. Audience left with beautiful memories and performers made new friends. As the performance came to an end, it brought upon new hopes and dreams that everyone can achieve their dreams if they put their hearts and mind to it.

Your typical Sunday morning would probably be you sleeping in the whole morning. But did you know that as early as 8am in the morning, close to 3000 members from 40 Healthy Lifestyle Clubs participated in the annual Central Singapore On The Move(CSOTM) mass walk that took place on 4th of December.

Different from last year’s concept that was at held at Nanyang Polytechnic, this year’s Central Singapore On The Move was held at Sengkang Riverside Park bringing them closer to nature.

Many people, from the young and old participated in the walk. Guest-of-Honour, Mayor of Central Singapore District Mr Sam Tan also participated in the walk. The mass walk serves as an occasion for the members to interact and strengthen their friendship and to also promote active ageing.Despite the drizzle, the participants were not disheartened by the change of weather but continued to carry on the 2km walk on the muddy pavements.
