BALESTIER: A HERITAGE TRAIL

"Balestier" was named after Joseph Balestier who first developed the area in 1834. Balestier has a rich history and is known to many Singaporeans for its delicious local fare tucked away in shophouses that line the road. This trail has been designed to allow you to walk and explore the very rich history and vibrant culture.

This trail is presented by the National Heritage Board and Central Singapore Community Development. Supported by the Jalan Besar Citizens' Consultative Committee, Urban Redevelopment Authority.
