1) Youth Environmental Guardians:

A volunteering platform for our youths to spearhead environmental projects.

The Central Singapore Youth Environmental Guardians (YEGs) Programme provides a volunteering platform for our youths to spearhead environmental public health projects. The programme targets primary and secondary schools, and includes a training workshop for the students on 3 modules, namely:

Anti-littering, germs and a pest-free environment
Anti-mosquito
Climate change and resource management

The programme also introduces to the YEGs the concept of working with community partners such as grassroots organisations to promote environmental message in their neighbourhood.

2) Youth Energy Saving Ambassadors
Students from the participating schools in the Central Singapore School Energy Audit Challenge are trained as Youth Energy Saving Ambassadors (YESAs) to lead their schools on a more energy efficient path. The YESAs have received training to equip them with the basic energy audit skills and to draw up energy conservation plans for their schools.
