- In 2006, grassroots representatives from all constituencies in the district came together to form the Central Singapore District Game Plan Against Dengue. The game plans were implemented over three phases - Preparation, Action and Review – with the support of the CSCDC and NEA. Some of the interesting initiatives implemented as part of the District Game Plan are:
- Launch Constituency HOMES Campaign
- Dengue Prevention Volunteer Group recruitment and training
- X-Dengue Roadshows at CCs & RC centres
- Targeted publicity in grassroots’ publications.
- Outreach programme to schools – Children’s Campaign Against Dengue
- Outreach programme to senior citizens
- The Central District Gameplan Against Dengue was finalised and presented at the 2nd Central Singapore Environmental Regional Workshop on 25th March 2006.
