Mayor’s Challenge Shield

Since its launch in 2002, the annual Central Singapore Mayor's Challenge Shield provides Free Kicks participants with an opportunity to pit their soccer skills against participants from other centres. This competition sees participants split into four categories – Under 9, Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15.
In addition to this friendly competition, the event also encompasses a family-day carnival which aims to provide a platform for family bonding and to promote racial harmony. Here, parents, siblings and other family members will be able to enjoy the carnival games, food and drinks while the participants focus on scoring the goals.
This year, the Mayor’s Challenge Shield was held at Tampines SAFRA. The participants and their family members enjoyed themselves thoroughly and look forward to another great outing next year.
